Our client is looking for a Temporary Customer Greeter to join their team. This full-time position involves 37.5 hours of work per week, from 9 am to 5.30 pm. The role will be based in Jersey until 6th September 2026. The primary duties of the position include providing efficient and professional customer service, managing customer waiting lists, and ensuring customers have a clear understanding of wait times.
Job Duties- Arrive on time for the daily staff briefing before the shop opens.
- Present an efficient and professional sales service to all customers.
- Strive to achieve customer excellence at all times.
- Greet all customers with a smile and a warm demeanour.
- Provide customers with honest and clear information.
- Ensure that each customer leaves with their needs met or is in a satisfactory process.
- Offer clear and concise information to help customers make informed decisions.
- Be fully competent in the use of relevant computer systems and applications after training.
- Provide ongoing support for all products and services available to customers, through face-to-face, email, or telephone contact.
- Resolve customer queries or complaints within one working day.
- Attend any required training sessions.
- Respond to customer requirements promptly.
- Be aware of commercial requirements, particularly within the retail department.
- Safeguard the company from legal actions and issues.
- Comply with regulatory rules, Data Protection Law, and Health and Safety responsibilities.
- Complete security awareness training related to information security, data protection, and financial crime.
- A passion for customer service and a customer-first attitude.
- Previous sales experience.
- Strong appreciation for customer service excellence.
- Ability to handle difficult customers effectively.
- Enthusiasm for new technology and its applications.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and staff at all levels.
- Ability to promote the company brand while maintaining high standards of customer care.
- A satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure is required for this role.
