This is a not-for-profit organisation operating within the Company Secretarial department, known for its commitment to impactful initiatives. It is a leading higher education provider with a number of subsidiaries including charity subsidiaries.
Job DescriptionThe Temp Governance Manager - Charity will be part of the small subsidiary focused company secretarial team. They will:
- Ensure governance structures and processes are maintained in line with organisational policies.
- Provide administrative support to the C-Suite team for governance-related activities.
- Provide end to end company secretarial support to the subsidiaries.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and relevant documentation for board and committees.
- Monitor compliance with internal and external regulations.
- Support the drafting and updating of governance frameworks and policies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address governance queries and issues.
- Maintain accurate records of governance activities and decisions.
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving governance practices.
A successful Temp Governance Manager - Charity should have:
- A background in governance / company secretarial, or a related field within the not-for-profit sector in the UK.
- Ideally have charity governance experience.
- Subsidiary management experience.
- CGI qualification is desired but not essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in meeting cycle management - preparing and managing meeting documentation.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Must have right to work in the UK.
The Temp Governance Manager - Charity will be required for approximately 4 months.
- A daily rate of up to approximately £400, depending on experience.
