Job Description
Technology Transfer Manager
Our client, a pharmaceutical company based in Dublin is seeking a Tech Transfer Manager.
This role is responsible for overseeing teams and processes that transform raw materials and components into finished products. It focuses on implementing strategies aligned with long-term business objectives and global goals, while leading teams and ensuring the right talent is in place to drive manufacturing success.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage multiple teams involved in supporting and developing manufacturing processes (PhD chemists, Process Validation and Data Science)
- Lead a team of PhD Chemists and development laboratory to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
- Develop and execute long term strategies for manufacturing operations
- Lead the successful technical transfer of new products to the Grange Castle site, working closely with global teams across Pharmaceutical Sciences and Manufacturing Sciences
- Address complex manufacturing challenges by delivering innovative and practical solutions
- Drive innovation in Data Science, leveraging computational modelling, AI, and advanced tools to enable right first time technical transfer and predictive capabilities
- Partner with Finance to identify and maximize annual R&D tax credit opportunities
- Ensure full compliance with global validation standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee Process Validation activities, leading a team of SMEs to maintain compliance and ensure the continued validated state of manufacturing processes.
- 10+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical
- PhD degree in a scientific discipline
- Proven management experience
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate teams
- Experience in team management, collaboration, and effective delegation
- Applies continuous improvement methods to enhance efficiency and quality
- Ensures high standards in quality and safety compliance
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing engineering principles
- Effective communicator with peers and stakeholders
- Able to solve complex manufacturing challenges with innovative solutions
