Grade 4 SCP 5-9 £25,583 - £27,254 (£11,660 - £12,421, pro rata)
Start Date: Easter 2026
Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Technology Technician to join our supportive and creative Art & Technology Faculty. This part time role requires 20 hours per week, ideally spread across the week, and is particularly well suited to a retired technology teacher or an individual with similar experience and practical skills in a workshop or educational setting.
About the Role- Prepare lesson materials, resources and equipment for practical lessons in Textiles, 3D Design, CDT, Art, and Food Technology across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Stock control and other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the faculty.
- Assist in maintenance of wall displays.
- Maintain storage areas in a tidy state.
- Assist in the production of specialised tools and jigs as necessary.
- Assist teachers with classroom set-up and demonstrations where required.
- Maintain and organise tools, machinery and workspaces in line with health and safety standards.
- Undertake routine maintenance of workshop equipment and ensure resources are well stocked and ready for use.
- Strong practical background, ideally in a technology based subject or workshop environment.
- Understanding of the importance of supporting high quality practical teaching and learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, organised and safety conscious approach to work.
- Enthusiastic and positive attitude to school life.
