Job Description

EIS Versilia is seeking a Technology Teacher (Coding, Robotics & Educational AI)

Level: Lower Secondary School (Middle School) Academic Year: 2025/2026


Location: Versilia, Tuscany Immediate availability required

EIS Versilia is looking for an innovative and future-oriented Technology Teacher to lead hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences in coding, robotics, and educational applications of artificial intelligence, primarily at the lower secondary school level, with possible involvement in cross-level STEM projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Teach Technology and ICT through engaging, practical lessons focused on computational thinking, basic programming, and problem-solving;

- Introduce students to block-based and text-based coding environments (e.g. Scratch, Python, Arduino, Micro:bit);

- Design and facilitate robotics activities using platforms such as LEGO Education, mBot, Arduino, or similar kits;

- Guide students in the use of AI tools (e.g. machine learning for kids, chatbots, visual recognition tools) within ethical and creative frameworks;

- Promote a maker mindset, fostering innovation through digital fabrication, prototyping, and teamwork;

- Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects involving science, math, and the humanities (e.g. smart cities, sustainability, human-machine interaction);

- Support student participation in coding competitions, robotics events, and exhibitions.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, STEM Education, or a related field;

- Teaching qualification for secondary school or relevant experience in educational technology;

- C1 level of English (CEFR), certified;

- Practical experience in coding education, robotics labs, or tech integration in schools;

- Familiarity with educational platforms and coding tools (e.g. Tinkercad, MIT App Inventor, Scratch, Python, AI platforms for schools);

- Strong commitment to inquiry-based learning, student agency, and digital citizenship;

- Ability to manage collaborative, project-based classroom environments with diverse learners.
