Technical/Senior Technical Officer (Food Safety) Community Environmental Health Team, WRS

Grade 5/6/7: £29,540 - £40,777 per annum

Permanent, 37 hours per week, Open to Job Share if applicable

Location: Worcestershire Regulatory Services, Kidderminster, Worcestershire

Responsibilities

The role is to provide food safety interventions to meet the Food Standards Agency Food Law Code of Practice across the county. This includes working with the County Council's Trading Standards service and engaging with a wide range of partners, customers and stakeholders.

Key duties:

• Conduct food safety inspections and enforcement activities.
• Provide advice and guidance to businesses on compliance.
• Document findings and prepare enforcement records.
• Collaborate with Trading Standards colleagues on joint investigations.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Significant experience in food safety enforcement.
• Excellent communication, problem solving and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines.
• Professional judgement and innovative solution oriented mindset.
