Technical Product Manager Defence

For one of our clients, a leading Swiss high-technology company in the Defence sector, we are looking for a Product, Project, or Business Development Engineer. Technical Product Manager Defence (Optics) Your tasks

• Responsible for managing the product lifecycle and driving the development of customer solutions in wearable field devices
• Define and maintain the product roadmap
• Gather and analyze customer requirements to deliver optimal solutions
• Initiate and oversee new product developments and enhancements
• Prepare and present business cases to management
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Services
• Actively participate in development projects as Product Owner
• Conduct internal and external product training and represent the company at trade shows and conferences
• Oversee and maintain product documentation
• Monitor the market, including technological trends, sales potential, and competitive landscape

Your profile

• BSc or MSc degrees in Physics, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a comparable field with an optical and/or software background
• At least 3 years of professional experience in product management or business development
• Knowledge of markets, products, technologies, and applications in the high-tech or Defence sector (military experience in infantry, scout, or special forces and/or ballistics knowledge is a plus)
• Project management experience and a structured working approach
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, with strong social and intercultural competencies
• Strong analytical thinking and technical systems understanding
• Willingness to travel approx. %
