This post is to facilitate teaching and learning in the E3 Learning Foundry and research in the
Discipline of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. The Technical Officer will play a key role in ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of undergraduate teaching, experimental project work (capstone, MAI/MSc level) and research in the discipline. They will maintain and repair equipment ensuring continuity of teaching and research throughout the Discipline. They will provide hands-on training and demonstrate standard operating procedures to all students and teaching assistants in the use of a variety of experimental equipment based in the department and E3 Learning Foundry. They will provide Technical Support as required to all schools with E3.
This is a permanent full-time role in Ireland. We require that you hold immigration permission that allows full-time employment for the duration of this permanent role. For this position we will not be able to support new employment permit applications.

Hours of Post:36.5 hours per week
Salary: Appointment will be made on the Technical Officer Pay Scale Salary Scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy €40,743 to €61,557per annum New Entrants to the Public Sector will be appointed on Point 1 of the Scale, €40,743 per annum Qualifications for New Staff (from 1 January 2007) Entry to the profession will require relevant Honours degree. National Certificate on Entry- Qualifications for Existing Staff (before 1 January 2007) The preferred candidate if an MSc holder on entry, with a minimum of 3 years' experience (that must be relevant), may be appointed at Senior Technical Officer level.
