About the team

Join our Global Clothing Technical team at Sainsbury's, working across UK and Asia to deliver safe, legal, and high-quality products for our Tu Clothing brand. We are a collaborative, innovative team committed to sustainability and excellence.

More about the role

As Global Technical Manager, you will lead and define the global technical strategy for Tu Clothing. You will manage a team of technologists, ensuring products meet safety, legal, and quality standards. This role involves working cross-functionally to identify innovation opportunities and deliver sustainability commitments.

You will oversee supplier relationships, manage quality from development to production, and drive improvements in processes and standards to support business growth.

More about you

You will bring extensive knowledge of clothing products, fabrics, and manufacturing processes, alongside strong leadership and communication skills. You can coach and develop global teams, make timely decisions under pressure, and collaborate effectively across departments.

A passion for quality, sustainability, and customer focus is essential, as is the ability to travel internationally and work with diverse suppliers.

  • Extensive clothing product and fabric knowledge
  • Experience in technical roles within clothing
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to travel internationally and manage supplier relationships
  • Familiarity with UK legislation and compliance requirements
