Technical Facilities Manager
Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Facilities M&E Engineer to support the delivery of a fully integrated facilities management service across hard and soft services, energy management, and project delivery. This role is central to ensuring operational excellence, statutory compliance, and exceptional client service within a dynamic, fast paced environment. Acting as a trusted advisor and technical lead, you will support building operations, mentor on site teams, manage vendor performance, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. You will work independently and collaboratively, representing Cushman & Wakefield's values through professional communication, proactive problem solving, and a commitment to service excellence.
Key Responsibilities Operational & Technical Leadership- Implement effective Mechanical, Electrical, Building, and Fabric maintenance strategies to optimise asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Prioritise and manage planned and reactive maintenance activities in line with SLAs and compliance requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all M&E matters on site, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the Facilities Maintenance Technician, supporting technical development and performance.
- Build strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders, managing recurring issues and ensuring adherence to policies, regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Oversee all contractors delivering planned, reactive, and project works across MEP, landscaping, fire protection, and health & safety services.
- Manage PPM schedules and ensure full statutory compliance across fire systems, HVAC, emergency lighting, generators, and other regulated assets.
- Maintain accurate certification records and produce weekly/monthly reports on planned and reactive works.
- Maintain and update all site documentation, including the Property Information Book, Site Operating Manual, Emergency Procedures Manual, safety logs, PO logs, vendor insurance certificates, as built drawings, and audit ready compliance files.
- Conduct daily and monthly inspections to ensure optimal performance of office facilities and equipment.
- Undertake minor fabric repairs and coordinate third party contractors where required.
- Support furniture moves, meeting room setups, and manual handling tasks in line with H&S procedures.
- Liaise with Security to ensure appropriate contractor access and compliance with site protocols.
- Support mobilisation/demobilisation activities, renovations, and office reconfigurations, ensuring smooth transition to operational readiness.
- Collaborate with clients to identify energy efficient solutions, optimise existing systems, and support renewable energy initiatives.
- Identify and deliver cost saving opportunities aligned with KPIs and budget targets.
- Contribute to team meetings with insights, updates, and recommendations.
- Assist with departmental cost management, including PO creation, invoice validation, and financial processing via Yardi.
- Ensure all reporting and documentation is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
- Strong technical expertise in M&E systems and building services.
- Experience in facilities management within a corporate or commercial environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer focused mindset.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire on site teams.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to compliance and documentation.
- A proactive, solutions driven approach with commercial awareness.
- Flexibility to support occasional out of hours works.
