Technical Author

Here at Sealey, we are seeking to recruit a Technical Authorto join ourteam based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.You will join us on a permanentbasis andin return, you will receive a competitive salaryplus benefits.

The Company

Responsibilities as our Technical Authorwill include:

• Receiving instruction writing tasks from a variety of internal sources
• Compiling instructions based on supplier instructions, encompassing your own knowledge and experience
• Proofreading instructions from other Instruction Writers
• Liaising with Technical Compliance, Parts Department and Quality Control Workshop Engineers when compiling and finalising instructions for print or onward delivery

What we're looking for in our Technical Author:

• Good general knowledge and understanding of hand tools and electrical and mechanical tools and equipment
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• The ability to work on several projects at once without direct supervision
• Someone highly organised, with the ability to work to deadlines while still maintaining attention to detail
• A sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• A background or interest in a mechanical, electrical or automotive field
• Experience of InDesign and Photoshop would be an advantage, although not essential
