Technical Architect (Azure/Citrix) - 6 months - Outside IR35 - Hybrid

An experienced Technical Architect is sought for an initial 6-month contract with a global consultancy supporting their UK arm. This role is Outside IR35 and follows a hybrid working model, requiring one day per week on-site in Northwich.

As the Technical Architect, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of robust virtual desktop infrastructure solutions using Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix technologies. You will engage with both technical and business stakeholders to produce high-quality architecture documentation and ensure alignment with enterprise IT strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver secure, scalable virtual desktop environments using Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (cloud and on-premise).
Configure and optimize Citrix Netscaler/ADC to ensure performance and availability.
Produce comprehensive architectural documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs).
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to transition solutions from design to deployment.
Be comfortable in a hands-on technical role as this will be a 50/50 role.
Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring that architecture supports long-term business goals.

To be considered for the role, you must have:
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
In-depth expertise with Citrix Netscaler/ADC and Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (both on-premise and cloud environments).
Proven experience creating and delivering HLDs and LLDs.
A strong background in IT architecture and solution design.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and technical documentation tools.
Experience within the financial services or banking sector is highly desirable.
