Team Manager

AmTrust is a global insurance provider offering risk management solutions and business underwriting. Today, AmTrust International underwrites over $1.8 billion of gross written premiums and employs more than 1,500 employees globally.

We are currently looking for a Team Manager to join our Property Underwriting team on a 12 month fixed term basis, based out of our Nottingham office.

The role will lead and develop a team of Property Underwriters, ensuring the delivery of profitable growth, portfolio performance, and exceptional service standards in line with business objectives. Working closely with the Lead Property Underwriter, you will oversee the day-to-day operational management of the team, driving performance, engagement, and underwriting excellence.

You will play a key role in shaping team strategy, supporting business development opportunities, and ensuring underwriting activity is delivered in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have proven experience leading, coaching, and developing underwriting or insurance teams within a commercial insurance environment.
• Demonstrate strong operational leadership skills, with the ability to manage performance, drive continuous improvement, and deliver business results.
• Possess a solid understanding of underwriting principles, portfolio management, and broker relationship management, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
