Team Manager - Adult Social Care

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager within Warrington's Adult Community Social Work, West Locality Team.
We are working in partnership across the town to shape a health and social care system to be proud of, adopting a strengths based approach to the delivery of high quality care and support.
The West Locality Team provide an assessment & care management service working with adults in the community living with a range of long-term and complex health and social care needs including:-
- All adults living with dementia
- Older people living with significant hearing and/or visual impairments
- Older people living with frailty
- Older people who misuse alcohol or drugs
- Older people living with other debilitating health conditions.
As a Team Manager you will lead and support social worker practitioners to deliver a safe and effective service for Warrington residents in need of care and support with a focus on the following key areas:-
- Performance reporting
- Leading team meetings
- Authorisations
- Case allocations
- Complex case discussions
- HR related matters
- Complaint investigations
- Legal literacy
- Supervisions and mentoring
As a valued member of the management team you will be supported by the service manager with 6 weekly supervisions. You will work within the legislation of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) and Human Rights Act 1998 to support your team to deliver personalised assessment, support planning and reviews in addition to safeguarding enquiries and court of protection work.

You must hold a current active registration with Social Work England and a full UK driving licence.
