Team Leader, Educator - St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool

The St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool is a welcoming, inclusive, high performing early learning service that is recognized among South Australia's leading early education centres. Annual salary: $80,148.29 plus statutory superannuation.

About the Role

The Team Leader, Educator works collaboratively with the Director, Team Leaders, and other Educators to provide high quality education and care to children in a supportive, nurturing and secure environment. The Team Leader is responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of education and learning programs, and for documenting and assessing children's learning in consultation with families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with families to support the growth and education of young children.
  • Contribute to a caring and supportive learning environment for children.
  • Document and assess children's learning and develop learning outcomes using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
  • Collaborate with team members and families to document, assess, and evaluate children's learning.
  • Ensure compliance with quality improvement plans and reflective practice.
  • Maintain a rostered day off each month.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Diploma of Children's Services or higher qualification (essential).
  • Certificate of First Aid in an Education and Care Setting - HLTAID012 (essential).
  • CPR Certificate (essential).
  • Mandated Notification Certificate (essential).
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework.
  • Knowledge of Quality Improvement Plans and reflective practice.
  • Excellent communication and service skills.
  • Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment.
