Team Leader Clinical Treatment Team

An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to lead the Clinical Treatment Team.

The post holder will support staff and clinic arrangements across the Trust's Lancashire footprint, ensuring the delivery of safe and responsive services within various physical health and ECT clinics.

Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00; some flexibility regarding start and finish times may be required.

You should be a registered mental health nurse, familiar with mental health community and inpatient services, and have experience delivering supervision and managing staff within a community mental health setting.

The Clinical Treatment Team covers East, North and Central Lancashire, so travel to localities to provide support may be required.

Main duties of the job

The purpose of this job is to support the Clinical Treatment Team in delivering a high quality mental health service as described in the Team's Operational Procedure.

This involves managing the CTT staff across areas of the service as agreed with the CTT Matron and Service Manager.

The Team Leader will be responsible for day to day management of the team, providing clinical/management supervision and ensuring the team delivers a safe and responsive service.

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of current provision of LSCFT Community and inpatient Mental Health Services
  • Mental Health Act and relevant legislation, National Mental Health Policy
  • Different approaches to improving mental health
Experience
  • Significant post qualifying experience of working with people with mental illness
  • Experience working in a multi disciplinary team
  • Venepuncture skills or willingness to learn
