Job Description

Due to newly awarded Rough Sleepers Initiative funding in Leicestershire an exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point's Leicestershire and Rutland Substance Use Services as the Rough Sleepers Coordinator at Team Manager level to lead a new Rough Sleepers Team. This role will cover the geographical area of Leicestershire.

Role Responsibility

You will be involved in setting up, supporting and managing a new RSI Team which will consist of an Advanced Recovery Practitioner and Recovery Workers and you will be responsible for the performance and development of your team. You will work closely with the clinical team to ensure that service users supported by your team have access to appropriate clinical interventions. You will support the service in maintaining excellent standards of treatment and care for our service users and will oversee the implementation of treatment pathways for people affected by rough sleeping and their use of substances. You will work with a range of partner agencies and represent the service in a variety of settings including internal and external meetings, promoting the service and encouraging referrals. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate data collection and reporting for this project.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and engaging and have a real passion for supporting people. You must have experience of line management/supervision/coaching and a strong understanding of treatment services and the disadvantages experienced by those effected by homelessness.

It is a busy role so excellent time management skills and experience in report writing and analysing data and records will be important.

This post covers the large geographical area of Leicestershire and there will be a requirement to travel across the county to different Turning Point sites and external venues in the community, therefore access to a car and a driving licence is essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge, skills and experience of working with people who have experienced difficulties related to their substance use and delivering recognised psychosocial interventions/approaches
  • Knowledge, skills and experience of working with people who have experienced difficulties related to homelessness
  • Excellent facilitation skills including the ability to lead a discussion to constructive conclusions and the ability to feedback
  • Experience of successfully managing a wide range of stakeholder relationships
  • Time management skills - working under very tight deadlines with changing priorities
  • Experience in evaluation techniques and the ability to adapt practice to get results

Salary

Starting salary £36,200 rising in line with our pay progression salary bands £42,349
