Team Leader - Debt Recovery

  • Annual Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Team Leader to oversee and motivate a team of approximately 10 staff members. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a target-driven environment and is committed to achieving performance targets while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and motivate a team to ensure performance targets are met and exceeded.
  • Set, monitor, and drive performance targets for team members.
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews to support staff development.
  • Carry out call monitoring, provide coaching, and offer constructive feedback to enhance team skills.
  • Handle disciplinary matters and conduct return-to-work interviews as required.
  • Liaise with clients, lead client meetings, and provide performance updates to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other Team Leaders to ensure consistency and uniformity in team management across the company.
  • Identify and implement improvements and innovative ideas to enhance team performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team in a target-driven environment.
  • Confident communicator with a firm but fair approach to team management.
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of taking initiative in various situations.
  • Previous leadership experience in a performance-based environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience in debt recovery, utilities, financial services, or credit management is advantageous but not essential.

  • Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
