Team Lead (Health Visiting and School Nursing)

Uist and Barra

Band 7 £52,845 - £61,466 per annum, plus Distant Island Allowance £1,461 per annum. 36 hours per week, permanent post. This post is based in Uist. The post holder will provide leadership to the team with responsibility for service developments based on agreed policies and procedures ensuring a high quality service working within the NMC Code and Clinical Governance Frameworks. It also includes carrying a small caseload, responsibility for training of students and liaising with higher education establishments.

Responsibilities

• Day to day management and coordination of NHS Health Visiting and School Nursing teams in Uist and Barra.
• Lead service developments based on agreed policies and procedures.
• Ensure delivery of a high quality service in accordance with the NMC Code and Clinical Governance Frameworks.
• Carry a small caseload.
• Train students and liaise with higher education establishments.

Qualifications

• First level registered nurse with Health Visiting/Public Health Degree qualification.
• Several years post registration experience with a diverse caseload.
• Leadership/management experience.
• Essential: Full UK driving licence and ownership of a car.
• Will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
• Post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
