Band 7 Dietitian - Team Lead Surgery Specialist Fixed Term/Secondment 12 monthsDo you have the skills and ambition to provide clinical expertise and leadership in Surgical Dietetic Services as part of an Integrated Adult Hospital Team? This 12 month fixed term/secondment post covering maternity leave offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced dietitian who is ready to step into a senior leadership role and broaden their professional portfolio.
We are seeking a clinician to join the Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service and take a lead role in the delivery and development of surgical services. This post provides the chance to consolidate and expand specialist skills in the nutritional care of adults undergoing surgical procedures, while also gaining experience in service leadership, project management, audit and research.
You will lead a small, dynamic clinical team and contribute to the joint operational leadership of the integrated adult nutrition and dietetic service at Ninewells Hospital. There may also be opportunities to support other hospital teams, offering valuable exposure to a wider range of clinical pathways.
Working closely with a multi disciplinary team, you will take a proactive role in patient care, service improvement, education and pathway development. This post is ideal for someone looking to develop their leadership capability, influence service direction and contribute to innovative practice.
The Tayside Nutrition & Dietetic Service is committed to collaborative working across teams and specialities. You will benefit from strong peer support, opportunities for professional development and involvement in the training of dietetic students, medical students and other healthcare professionals.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation and leadership skills are essential, alongside the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Hours of work are: 37.0 hours per week, core service working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4.30pm.
