Teaching Assistants Needed

I'm currently looking for enthusiastic, dedicated, and genuinely caring Teaching Assistants to support a number of wonderful primary schools across the Wakefield area. As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in the classroom. Working closely with teachers, you'll support children's learning and wellbeing, offer encouragement where it's needed, and help create a positive, inclusive environment where every pupil feels supported.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting teachers with the delivery of engaging, high-quality lessons
• Providing one-to-one or small-group support for pupils who need additional help
• Helping maintain a calm, well-managed classroom environment
• Supporting pupils with special educational needs to ensure equal access to learning
• Preparing teaching materials and classroom resources
• Supervising pupils during breaks, lunchtimes, and school activities
• Working collaboratively with staff to deliver tailored learning programmes
• Ensuring the classroom remains organised, safe, and welcoming

I'd be particularly interested in speaking with you if you:

• Have experience working with primary-aged children (school experience is ideal but not essential)
• Communicate well with both children and adults
• Bring patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support young learners
• Work well under guidance and thrive in a team environment
• Can adapt to the changing needs of the classroom
