Teaching Assistants (x3) - Alternative Provision

Are you a dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity to support young people who face barriers to learning? Do you have experience working with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? This alternative provision is looking to appoint three committed Teaching Assistants to join their supportive and dynamic team.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students both in and out of the classroom. You will provide 1 2 1 and small group support, helping students manage their behaviour, stay engaged with learning and develop the confidence needed to succeed. This is a hands on and rewarding role where strong relationships and consistency are key.

  • Providing 1 2 1 and small group support for students with SEMH needs
  • Supporting students to manage behaviour and remain engaged in lessons
  • Building positive and trusting relationships with students
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Supporting emotional regulation and personal development
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress and behaviour
  • Contributing to a safe, structured and supportive learning environment
