Job Description
Teaching Assistant - Supporting SEND

Fixed term for 3 years, Part time, working 18 hours per week with a requirement to increase to 25 hours as of 1st September 2026, Term time only plus 5 INSET days

Salary: Grade 2 SCP 4: £25,185 per annum pro rata (salary applicable from 1st April 2026)

Actual salary: £10,585.50 per annum

John Taylor Multi Academy Trust (JTMAT) believes in the power of education to improve lives - and the world. As a partner academy in JTMAT and a growing school, we are seeking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a child in our Nursery Class.

Working with an individual child with specific needs, the successful candidate will have experience of supporting learning within a school and bring a good understanding of areas of learning such as English, Maths and SEND strategies. With a friendly, caring yet professional approach, you will have the ability to respond to learning needs, demonstrating patience and commitment to milestones
