Job Description

Do you have transferable skills from roles in healthcare, play work, Girlguiding, Scouts, social care, mental health, sports coaching, or similar?

We are looking for caring, resilient, and proactive individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants in complex needs schools from September.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
  • Non-verbal and verbal communication needs
  • Complex and additional learning needs

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building trusting relationships and strong rapport with pupils
  • Supporting pupils' learning, development, and daily activities
  • Working under the direction of the class teacher
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
  • Adapting your approach to meet individual needs and behaviours
Working Pattern
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities available
  • Flexible work to suit your lifestyle and commitments
  • Consistent placements or ad hoc work available
  • You must be available to work full days (08:30 - 15:30) on the days you choose to work
