We are looking for caring, resilient, and proactive individuals to join our team as Teaching Assistants in complex needs schools from September.
The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in supporting pupils with a range of needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
- Non-verbal and verbal communication needs
- Complex and additional learning needs
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building trusting relationships and strong rapport with pupils
- Supporting pupils' learning, development, and daily activities
- Working under the direction of the class teacher
- Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils
- Adapting your approach to meet individual needs and behaviours
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Flexible work to suit your lifestyle and commitments
- Consistent placements or ad hoc work available
- You must be available to work full days (08:30 - 15:30) on the days you choose to work
We welcome candidates with transferable skills from backgrounds such as:
- Healthcare / care work
- Youth work / play work
- Girlguiding / Scouts leadership
- Mental health support roles
- Sports coaching
- Social care or support work
