Teaching Assistant SEN - Plymouth, Devon. Join a well regarded mainstream primary school to support Key Stage 1 pupils with SEN and SEMH needs. You'll help children feel secure, valued and capable of success, fostering an inclusive environment that encourages academic and emotional growth.
Responsibilities- Provide personalised support for pupils with SEN and SEMH needs
- Work closely with the class teacher to adapt lessons and support strategies to meet individual needs
- Create a calm, structured and supportive environment that promotes emotional well being and engagement
- Use effective behaviour management and de escalation strategies to support self regulation
- Encourage positive peer relationships and active participation in school life
- Monitor development and celebrate progress at every stage
- Support the creation and adaptation of tailored learning resources
- Take part in ongoing training and CPD, including trauma informed and attachment aware practice
- Experience working with children, ideally within a school or SEND setting
- Patience, empathy and resilience, with a strong commitment to pupil well being
- Clear communication and ability to build positive, trusting relationships
- Capability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
- Full driving licence and vehicle access (desirable due to location)
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (desirable but not essential)

Pay: £89 £95 per day
