About the role

Justteachers are seeking a warm and enthusiastic Reception Class Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and forward-thinking primary school in Alcester. With a dedicated EYFS team and a well-equipped outdoor learning space, the school provides an ideal setting for children to explore, discover, and develop foundational skills in a joyful and supportive environment.

This full-time role involves working closely with the Reception class teacher to deliver engaging activities, support individual learning needs, and help maintain a safe and stimulating classroom. You'll play a key role in phonics, early numeracy, and social development, while also supporting children with additional needs. The position is available immediately and offers long-term potential for the right candidate. This role is to start in September 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of EYFS curriculum through play-based and structured activities


• Assist with phonics, early maths, and language development


• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs


• Help with classroom setup, tidying, and resource preparation


• Observe and record pupil progress, feeding back to the teacher


• Support pupils during snack time, outdoor play, and transitions

Pre-requisites

• Experience working with children in EYFS (school or nursery setting)


• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Teaching Assistance


• Understanding of child development and safeguarding practices


• Friendly, patient, and proactive approach to learning support


• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)


• Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday
