Teaching Assistant Level 2 (Additional Need)

22.5 hours per week (Term time only, plus inset days)

8.45am - 1.15pm Monday - Friday

(Flexibility required to meet need)

Grade 4, SCP 5

Salary £25,583 - £13.26 per hour (pro rated salary £13,440 based on 45.05 weeks)

The Governors wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant to provide support in addressing the needs of pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate must have

• Experience of working to support children's learning, gained in a relevant environment.
• Understanding of relevant policies/codes of practice
• Good understanding of areas of learning, e.g. literacy, numeracy, science, SEN, Early Years.
• Use of other equipment technology - photocopier, computer, ipad, laptop.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills to be able to relate well to a wide range of people.
• Work constructively as part of a team whilst being able to demonstrate initiative.
• Good communication skills.
• Effective use of ICT to support learning.
• Willing to work towards NVQ Level 3 or recognised equivalent.
• Visits to our school our welcome and encouraged.
