Join Our Team as a Secondary School Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Doncaster. Key Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Provide additional support for students with varying learning needs, including students with SEND where required.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage student engagement in the classroom.
• Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom activities.
• Help create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Supervise students during break times, educational visits, and other school activities when required.
• Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
• A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) are desirable.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3) are advantageous but not essential.
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
