Summary

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within the SEND Department. The post involves supporting pupils with low levels of literacy, numeracy and EAL needs, and contributing to the Academy's aim of becoming an Outstanding school.

Responsibilities
  • Assist and support pupils in literacy, numeracy and EAL development.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to implement individual learning plans and interventions.
  • Deliver a broad and innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils.
  • Support the Academy's core values of We Care, We Challenge, We Commit.
  • Participate in staff development and share best practice.
Qualifications
  • Experience working in a SEND department or similar role.
  • Strong subject knowledge and ability to support a broad curriculum.
  • Enthusiastic, resilient, warm and approachable with a sense of humour.
  • Commitment to improving opportunities for the students of Fulwood Academy.
Working Conditions

34.5 hours per week, term time. Typical days: Mon Thu 8:15 am 3:45 pm, Fri 8:15 am 3:15 pm.
