Job Description

Job Title:Teaching Assistant - Level 2 / Level 3 (Permanent)

Salary:FTE £25,583 - £25,989Pro-rata £19,919 - £20,235

Location:Stratford-upon-Avon

Start Date:May or September 2026

Hours:Full-time Term-Time Only

Smart Education is currently recruiting for a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly supportive and dedicated team within an all-age setting (3-19) supporting pupils with a wide range of additional needs.

The school offers a broad-spectrum SEN provision, supporting pupils with learning difficulties, communication needs and complex needs, with a strong focus on independence, personal development and preparing pupils for life beyond education.

This role is ideal for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about SEN and wants to make a long-term impact within a specialist environment.

Job requirements:Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification• Experience working with children or young people with SEN• Experience within a UK school or specialist setting• Patient, resilient and nurturing approach• Ability to support communication, behaviour and emotional regulation

Role responsibilities:• Provide 1:1, small group and classroom support• Support pupils with a range of complex learning needs and communication difficulties• Promote independence, confidence and personal development• Support behaviour and emotional regulation• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and SEN professionals• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment
