Teaching Assistant

Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant in the Hereford area. Axcis Education is working on behalf of local schools for a range of long term and short term roles. We are seeking a long term placement in a primary school, Monday to Friday 8:30 4pm during term time only, with an immediate start date. The role involves working in a 2 form entry primary school, supporting a 9 year old who requires educational and emotional support.

We pay £14.25 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Sitting in class to keep on task
• Supervising lunch and break times
• Supporting the teacher with tasks
• Keeping teachers and parents up to date with the child's progress

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, such as in a support based role or alternative care
• Ability to work with children who require educational and emotional support
• Prepared to provide an up to date DBS or allow Axcis to process one
