Job Description
Overview

Queen's College, London is seeking two dedicated, enthusiastic, and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support high-quality teaching and learning across our Year 7 cohort.

Under the direct guidance and supervision of the SENCo, and in collaboration with the Pastoral team, the successful candidates will work closely with teaching staff to provide academic, pastoral, and administrative support, enabling access to learning for all pupils and helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and academically ambitious environment. Work may be carried out in the classroom or may regularly take place outside the main teaching area. This role would be particularly suited to recent psychology graduates with career aspirations in educational psychology.

Responsibilities
  • Provide academic support to pupils to access learning and achieve their potential.
  • Support pastoral care and wellbeing within the Year 7 cohort in collaboration with teaching and pastoral staff.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to teaching and learning as directed by the SENCo and teaching staff.
  • Work in the classroom or in external settings as required by the lesson and pupil needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement learning plans and track pupil progress where appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Recent psychology graduates with career aspirations in educational psychology are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; willingness to undertake required pre-employment checks.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic classroom and pastoral environment.
