Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Axcis Education is seeking a special needs teaching assistant for a full-time, long-term role at a special needs school in Wiltshire.

Schedule: 8:30 - 3:30, Monday to Friday, term time only. This role starts ASAP and will run for the remainder of the school year, with the potential to become permanent.

The school specializes primarily in supporting students diagnosed with autism, though it also accommodates students with complex needs and ADHD. The environment is a converted manor house, and the team is known for strong retention.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in settings such as youth centres or care centres, especially those with autism. Core qualities include patience, empathy, understanding, adaptability, and the ability to follow instructions from teachers or senior leadership.

Applicants must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply as part of the application process.
