Career Teachers are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in our Secondary School based in Havering. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-3:30 pm, supporting children with additional needs.

General skills

As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you will have:

• Experience as a TA/LSA in a UK Secondary school
• Cover supervisor experience
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, Maths, Science, Art, History, etc., with volunteering experience
• Sports coach/PE Coach experience
• Tutoring experience
• Experience working 1-1 and in small groups

Responsibilities

• Ensuring students stay focused and on task
• Managing student behaviour positively
• Following school policies on behaviour management
• Following instructions and work set by the Head of Department or class teachers
• Supporting students 1-1 and assisting the class teacher
