Maiden Beech Academy converted to a Primary School in September 2022 and is a part of the Bridgwater and Taunton College Trust. We are seeking two dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our committed team, supporting our mission to put children first and help them achieve their full potential.
Teaching Assistant
Part time - 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
Salary: BTCT Band 3, points 3-4 commencing at point 3. Actual starting salary: £15,225.47 per annum
Anticipated start date: 1st September 2025.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils' learning, development, and well-being. You will be integral in promoting independence, self-esteem, and inclusion within the classroom and school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to pupils to help them access the curriculum and reach learning milestones.
- Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
- Foster positive relationships with children, promoting engagement and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with teachers to deliver enriching and inclusive learning experiences.
- Support behaviour management strategies and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children s progress.
- Embrace safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students.
