Primary Teaching Assistant - Specialist Behaviour SettingWarwick Full-Time Term Time Only Salary dependent on experienceWe are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding primary school in Warwick. Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, our school is proud of its inclusive ethos, high expectations, and unwavering commitment to supporting every child to succeed.This role involves working with primary-aged pupils who may present with challenging behaviour and additional social, emotional, and mental health needs. It is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive and exceptionally well-led environment.The RoleAs a Teaching Assistant, you will:Support pupils across the primary age range, both in class and through targeted interventionsWork closely with teachers and pastoral staff to maintain a structured, nurturing learning environmentImplement behaviour support strategies and individual support plansProvide one-to-one and small group supportPromote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement with learningBuild strong, consistent relationships based on trust, clear boundaries, and high expectationsThe Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:Has experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within behaviour, SEMH, or additional needs settingsRemains calm, confident, and consistent when managing challenging behaviourDemonstrates strong communication and de-escalation skillsIs patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusionShares our high expectations for both behaviour and achievementRelevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable, and training in behaviour management approaches is advantageous.
