Teaching Assistant - Literacy & Maths Support (Part-Time, Flexible)

Teaching Assistant (more than one role available)

Permanent - Term Time only, 39.2 weeks per year. Part time working 27.5 hours per week, with flexible options including job share and apprenticeship routes.

Salary: Grade 4 (SCP 6-7) £25,989 - £26,403 per annum pro rata, based on qualified status. Actual starting salary £16,773.78 - £17,040.98 per annum. Apprentice candidates will be paid on government apprenticeship rates.

Responsibilities

• Deliver support to students, including small group interventions and lessons for students with additional literacy needs.
• Support classroom teaching and work in small groups as directed by senior staff or teachers.
• Use Maths and English skills to help students access the curriculum.
• Work independently as a dedicated team player, following strategies directed by professional colleagues.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through hands on experience.
• Willingness to pursue an apprenticeship and commit to ongoing development and school support.
• Good Maths and English skills.
• Aptitude for supporting students to access the curriculum.
