Primary Purpose

This position is designated for those who are eligible and enrolled (or will enroll upon hire) in a Hutto ISD Apprentice partner university (known as an RTI partner), are employed full time in Hutto ISD, complete 1/2 day of Hutto ISD apprenticeship training monthly and replicate the activities learned with students under the direction of a certified teacher. Apprentices are enrolled in On-Ramp 1, 2, 3, or 4 and can develop their knowledge and skills in both content and pedagogy while gaining practical experience as they assist student classroom instruction under the direct supervision of a certified teacher. Those hired to complete an apprenticeship will be employed for 100% of the school day. Apprentices will follow the district calendar, instructional day, and begin/end the semester.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be enrolled in a Hutto ISD approved RTI partner university program for teaching.
• Must earn a Texas educational aide certificate.
