Salary M1 - UPS3 - £32916.00 - £45352.00 plus SEN 1 allowance £2787.00

Overview

We are seeking an exceptional, experienced, and passionate ASC Teacher to join our dedicated team at Reynalds Cross School. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a nurturing, therapeutic environment and is committed to transforming the lives of neurodivergent children.

You will lead a specialist class for pupils with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC), creating and maintaining a structured, safe, and engaging learning space where every child can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. Your deep understanding of ASC, combined with your creative teaching strategies and ability to foster trust, will be central to your success in this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with complex needs, particularly those with ASC.

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled teacher with the following:

  • Proven skills of teaching pupils with special educational needs especially those ASC
  • Knowledge of, or skills in using specialist communication systems e.g. Makaton, PECs etc
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with children, staff and parents and other professionals.
  • A commitment and passion for inclusive education along with the ability to use multiple strategies to maximise achievement and effectively manage a variety of challenging behaviours
  • Successfully manage and lead a high number of learning support assistants within your classroom
