WORKING WITH US
Harris Rainham Sixth Form is a new and ambitious Sixth Form for the young people of Rainham and the surrounding areas. We opened with our first group of year 12 students in September 2023 and this was the culmination of seven years of work to open this academic sixth form. For too long, Rainham students have had to travel to access high quality Post 16 education. This is no longer the case. The students of Rainham now have an ambitious and highly aspirational sixth form that will enable our young people to access the best universities, apprenticeships and employment opportunities that exist.
Our mission is to enable our students to develop the knowledge and skills to flourish in the modern world. There are a number of features of our Academy that make us unique and different to other post 16 providers. These include:
- An Academy that is large enough to provide a wide-ranging curriculum but small enough for all our students to be known as individuals. This means we are able to provide the care, support and guidance that is needed at this exciting and challenging educational stage.
- A curriculum that develops our students' academic potential, enables them to develop their character and develops their understanding od the world around them. Whether this is through our electives programme, our competitive guilds or through our societies.
- High quality teaching from passionate subject experts. Our teachers are passionate about their subjects and focus on challenging our students through high quality explanations, rigorous questioning and our PLP approach to independent study.
- An Academy that works closely with Harris Academy Rainham and other Sixth Forms across the Harris Federation enabling us to provide opportunities such as the Harris Experience Advanced, Oxbridge mentoring and support and extensive extra-curricular and sporting opportunities.
Our new state of the art building has been especially designed to deliver a Sixth Form education. We are privileged to be able to work in such a wonderful environment.
Harris Rainham Sixth Form is a fantastic place to work and learn and we look forward to sharing this with you. Please get in touch if you would like to learn more about us.
