The Role

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our innovative and forward-thinking Maths Department. We have a large and committed team of Maths teachers here at KAA, comprising fifteen dedicated professionals in all.

Since the academy opened in 2014, the department has taken the opportunity to build a Maths curriculum from scratch to create something which is of distinctive quality. As part of our department, you'll have access to a bank of high-quality lessons, while still enjoying freedom and autonomy to use them to suit your teaching style and meet the needs of the students in your classes. We prioritise problem-solving and reasoning, empowering our students to build deep understanding and confidence in mathematics.

We are proud to use Sparx Maths and have access to many of the latest online resources to support lesson planning and student learning. We're also exploring the use of AI to enhance lesson planning and improve classroom outcomes, ensuring we continually position ourselves at the front of educational progress and development.

We offer a vibrant co-curricular programme of clubs, societies and trips related to the subject. GCSE and A Level outcomes are consistently above the national average, and a large number of students go on to study Maths and Further Maths at university.

At KAA, both internal and external CPD is prioritised at every experience level. Whether you are an existing Maths teacher looking for a new experience in an outstanding environment, or a PGCE student excited to start your career, this role is an excellent opportunity to extend your skills in a supportive and community focused school.
