About the school

Portobello High School is a six year comprehensive based in the East of Edinburgh with a roll of over 1500 pupils, mainly drawn from five associated primary schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach all SQA Mathematics courses from National 4 to Advanced Higher.
• Present learners for Applications of Mathematics.
• Build strong relationships with students, supporting their achievement and wellbeing.
• Contribute to an inclusive curriculum that meets the needs of all learners.

Qualifications and Checks

The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or have an updated PVG check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more abroad in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
