Teacher of French (Part-Time)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced French teacher to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 at NBH Canonbury Senior School & Sixth Form in London. The role is part time, permanent, and will commence in September 2026.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality lessons that support students' knowledge and understanding.
• Support subject leaders in ensuring high quality lesson plans and schemes of work that engage and enrich students' learning.
• Report on internal and external assessments to help determine students' progress and attainment.
• Work with the Head of Year to support and deliver high quality pastoral care to students.
• Support the faculty and whole school development priorities.
• Undertake appropriate supervision before school, at break, after school and at lunch time as per the whole school duty rota.
• Attend and engage with continuous professional development sessions with key stakeholders to support the development of the best possible quality of teaching and learning.

Qualifications

• Good undergraduate degree in French.
• Commitment and passion for teaching.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Effective management of student behaviour.
• Digital competence to utilise technology essential in lesson delivery.
