Salary: £130 - £170 per day

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a Client Secondary School in York, North Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated educator to deliver high-quality English Literature and Language lessons, starting as soon as possible.

Teacher of English responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging English Literature and Language lessons.
• Promote a love of reading, writing, and effective communication within a creative and inclusive classroom setting.
• Promote high standards of achievement through effective classroom management.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the English department.
• Uphold high expectations for behaviour, learning, and academic success.

Teacher of English Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Degree in English.
• A proven ability to motivate and challenge students.
• Strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.
• Have a proven track record of improving attainment levels at GCSE for English Literature and Language.
• Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS, registered on the update service, or be willing to obtain one through GSL Education.
