Job Description

Teacher of Business Studies & Economics - Bushey, Hertfordshire. Full time permanent position starting September2026. Salary £34,398-£52,490 per annum (MPS/UPS Fringe), determined by experience and position within the Main Pay Range.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Business Studies and Economics across KS4 and KS5.
  • Deliver engaging, well planned lessons that challenge and motivate learners.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A Level examinations, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
  • Assess progress effectively and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment with excellent behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Ability to confidently teach both Business Studies and Economics.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain high standards of behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to delivering engaging lessons and achieving outstanding outcomes for students.
  • Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
