Job Description

We are seeking a driven and analytical team member. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the bank's strategic mandate by ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our trading, settlement, and credit risk operations. As a key data owner for several business as usual processes, you will be responsible for maintaining critical data flows, validating information, and supporting seamless operational execution across multiple teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Enable clients in TD Securities book of record systems to facilitate trading and settlement. Own and manage business as usual processes associated with these systems, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational needs of the business.
  • Act as an SME for Client Static and SSI Data across multiple TDS Platforms, establishing a deep understanding of end to end product set up
  • Lead daily operational tasks, ensuring timely and accurate data validation, data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Understand and maintain automated solutions and bulk data setup capabilities that are utilized to meet the growing demands of the business and perform critical data integrity checks across systems. Analyze and resolve exceptions from various reconciliation processes and automations.
  • Achieve an exceptional standard of error free processing by ensuring accurate inputting of data to mitigate risk to TD (e.g., reputational, financial, regulatory, operational risk)
  • Respond and resolve customers' concerns using standard procedures and escalating non standard activities, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership and Sales and Trading to review trade settlements, client reporting, and compliance activities and challenges. Act as a first line of support for the team with Audit and Risk Review activities.
  • Play a key role in identifying and resolving operational risks through careful data analysis and proactive troubleshooting.
  • Continuously identify and implement improvements in existing processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the operations function.
  • Act as a lead for testing, verification, and implementation of system updates and enhancements to ensure alignment with the Bank's operational strategy.
  • Undertake project tasks as required and ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Help build a positive, diverse and equitable work environment by promoting team effectiveness.
  • Demonstrate TD Framework and shared commitments in daily activities.
Skills and Qualifications
  • University or college degree or relevant experience
  • Ability to connect day to day operational activities with broader business objectives.
  • High accuracy in managing data and executing daily and repetitive operational tasks, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Ability to clearly articulate issues and solutions with internal stakeholders, fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Foundational knowledge of Capital Markets operations and how various data points flow through interconnected systems is an asset
  • A self starter with a proactive approach to learning and driving improvements, eager to contribute to broader strategic goals
  • Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), with a strong capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and highlight discrepancies is an asset
  • Familiarity with robotic process automation (RPA) such as UI Path and Alteryx, and an ability to assist in system testing and data reconciliation processes is preferred.
  • Experience or understanding of operational risk and process improvement initiatives are an asset.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
  • Ability to deliver legendary service while adhering to strict deadlines in a fast paced work environment.
  • Prior client setup and SSI knowledge is an asset
