Requirements to Become a Licensed Taxi Driver

• DBS Check
• Over the age of 21
• Valid Driver's License (minimum 12 months since passing your test)
• Medical Assessment
• Taxi Driver Test
• Taxi Knowledge Test (dates available from Westmorland and Furness Council Licensing Authority)
• Suitable Vehicle (must meet hackney carriage licensing requirements - details available from your local licensing authority)

Some financial investment in your new business will be required.
