Job Description

An innovative accountancy practice based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxford, is recruiting for an experienced mixed Tax Manager to join their friendly and established team on a full-time, permanent basis. The practice provides tailored tax advisory and compliance services to HNWI, SMEs, and large corporations. The Tax Manager role is a key position within the firm, offering opportunities to develop tailored tax strategies and ensure compliance with regulations and tax laws.

Tax Manager Job Overview
  • Managing a portfolio of mixed tax clients and their tax affairs
  • Managing HMRC enquiries
  • Training and guiding junior staff members and managing workflow
  • Corporation tax compliance for large and complex clients
  • Reviewing P11Ds and PSAs
  • Managing technical tax advisory projects if desired
  • Reviewing personal tax returns and computations
  • Collaborating with the wider team, including accounts and audit teams, as well as clients and management, and assisting with ad hoc tax queries
Tax Manager Job Requirements
  • CTA qualified or part-qualified desirable
  • ATT, ACA, or ACCA qualified with suitable tax experience will also be considered; consideration would be given to offering a CTA study package if desired
  • Prior tax compliance experience
  • A mixed tax background
  • Prior team supervision experience and a desire to assist and develop junior staff members
  • Located near Henley-on-Thames, Oxford
Salary & Benefits
  • £65,000-£70,000 depending on skills and experience
  • Early mid-afternoon finish every Friday
