Tax Manager - Financial Services

Forvis Mazars is a leading global professional services network providing audit, assurance, tax and advisory services. In the UK we operate 14 offices and employ over 3,400 professionals, including 190 partners.

Our Financial Services practice supports asset management, FinTech, banking, capital markets, insurance and real estate clients. Tax is an integral part of these services, and we combine financial services industry expertise with deep service line knowledge to provide bespoke client advice.

About the role

The focus of this role is to drive and lead UK FS corporate tax client engagements. You will manage a broad mix of advisory, compliance and audit work in sectors such as asset management, banking, capital markets and insurance, and contribute to the technical development of the wider team. The role requires research, delivery of cross border tax compliance, advisory and audit engagements, and ensuring high quality client work that supports profitable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver UK corporate tax engagements for clients across FS sectors.
• Research complex tax issues and develop technical solutions.
• Support cross border tax compliance, advisory and audit engagements.
• Delegate and review work with junior team members in our London office.
• Use best practices, technology and Firm policies to ensure high quality and profitability.
• Work from the London office an average of 3 days a week to manage delivery and delegation.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACA, CA, CTA or equivalent.
• Strong interest in financial services and related tax issues.
• Experience delivering UK corporate tax engagements for FS clients.
• Good awareness of broader tax, international tax, regulatory and accounting areas.
• Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and engagement economics.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
