This is an exciting opportunity to join the GT tax team that advises businesses and their owners on significant transactions.

This is an advisory-only role, with no compliance responsibilities.

You will work on a variety of interesting projects, including tax structuring of trade sales, private equity investments, management buyouts, IPOs, carve-outs/demergers, and related planning.

This role may suit you if you have experience advising shareholders and their companies on transactions, whether you have a corporate or private client tax background (we have team members from both areas).

You will benefit from working with approachable, friendly colleagues in a supportive culture that emphasizes technical excellence, practical solutions, and exceptional client service.

The role is within our GT Private South & London team, covering transaction advisory and traditional private client advice for high-net-worth individuals. There is flexibility to work across both areas if interested.

Role Overview:

  • Provide expert tax advice to mid-market businesses and shareholders
  • Advise on tax implications and structuring of acquisitions, disposals, and business separations
  • Build trust with clients by delivering high-quality, accurate tax advice on time
  • Lead client interactions and coordinate with the Private and wider Tax teams
  • Support and develop junior team members
  • Lead client meetings, confidently address queries
  • Offer creative solutions to tax issues and identify cross-selling opportunities within the GT network

Candidate Requirements:

  • Professional qualification (CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
  • Experience advising clients on complex tax matters and transactions
  • Interest in personal and team development

Preferred but not essential skills include:

  • Enhancing personal and firm profile externally
  • Business development and proposal writing experience

Why Join Us:
